About The Photographer
Welcome to my site. I'm Stephen Cromer, and like most folks, I was a casual photographer for many years. Around 1999 I decided to get serious about it, so I read a couple of books, bought a better camera, and went to work. So I guess that makes me self-taught.

I'm a native of Aldie Virginia but have recently relocated to Utah. I take scenics and landscape images in the classic style, employing my drive-by photographic technique: I drive around until I see something that interests me. And although there are guidelines to composition, art is up to interpretation. So I also employ a technique that we all learned in Mr. Scholz's high school algebra class, the Cromer Vision Postulate: If it looks right, it is. I take photo's wherever I go, but I gravitate towards the west, which is where the greats, such as Ansel Adams, became, well, great! I hate to name drop. A lot of people studied under Ansel Adams, I just studied him. All kidding aside, I take my craft seriously, and it shows in my images. Life is supposed to be fun, right?

Well, that's more than enough about me, I'm boring. View the images on my site and enjoy. Also check out my extensive galleries at pbase.com/cromurrr

Oh and by the way, that is a real picture of me. I'm a character in caricature. A stick figure of pencil thin proportions.

For the Glory of God
